The Village of Bald Head Island Development Services Department
employs one staff member,
the Development Services Director/Building Inspector, to provide professional
planning assistance and building inspection services to the residents of Bald Head Island as well
as the many boards, committees, other Village Departments, and
Village Council.
The Development Services Director/Building Inspector meets with prospective
developers, interprets Village ordinances, regulations, policies, reviews project submittals and enforces
applicable Village Ordinances to ensure a quality of life for
all residents, while assuring that future land development does
not have an adverse impact on the Village's most valuable
resources.
