Calvin Peck
has been the Village Manager since
September 2006.

An Army brat-
born in 1957 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, he spent the better part
of his childhood traveling around the world with his parents and
older sister. Calvin, graduated form Herndon High School in
Fairfax County Virginia in 1975 and joined the Army. After
eight years as a Medic in the 82nd Airborne Division Calvin
attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned a 2d
Lieutenant in the Army Corp where he completed a BS in Political
Science from Campbell University and while teaching ROTC at
Purdue University, earned a Masters Degree in Public Policy and
Administration. Calvin retired in 1995 and took a position as
the Town Administrator in Murfreesboro NC where he spent three
years before moving to Carolina Beach to be the Town Manager,
his tenure there was 7 plus years.
Calvin served
as the Interim Administrator in Caswell Beach for 90 days while
trying to decide what would be the best move for his family.
It turned out that the best move was no move. Staying in
beautiful SE North Carolina turned out to be the best for all.
He is married to his High School sweetheart Audrey in which they
celebrated their 34th Anniversary this past
September. Their 30 year old son Cody is
serving his 5th tour in Iraq. He and his wife are permanently
assigned to Fort Riley, Kansas. Their 24 year old daughter
Alyson has completed her Biology degree at Greensboro College.
Her and her husband recently relocated to Wilmington, North
Carolina where she is teaching at her Alma Mater, Ashley High
School.
